My Bill O'Reilly meltdown video, which was built on RevoLucian's stunning audio remix, has been short listed by the Webby Awards for Best Viral Video of 2008!
It's a huge honor, and I'm very glad to be in the running. RevoLucian is billed as co-creator on the award submission, as I couldn't have cut the video that way, not in a million years, unless he'd turned his composing skills on the audio first.

First multimedia report for The Washington Times
My first report for The Washington Times ran today.
The print story and accompanying video take a look at the El Paso city council's recent unanimous vote on a resolution asking the federal government to hold an open and honest debate on narcotics legalization as a way to stem drug violence in Mexico.
There were strong voices on both sides of the issue both for and against such a debate. The controversy unfolded against the backdrop of an increasingly tenuous situation in Mexico, which is felt acutely in El Paso due to its proximity to Juarez:

My thanks to Gustavo Reveles Acosta, who's been the El Paso Times' point man on the excellent local coverage of this issue. I consulted him on background while putting the story together, and greatly appreciate the time and input he was able to give.
